Learn-To-Row Weekends 8/30 to 8/31, 2025 Fee

Register for our Afternoons Learn-To-Row class. This four class learning experience is designed to teach the basics of rowing on the water. This program is open to anyone, 12 years old and up, and no rowing experience is required!

Welcome to Megunticook Rowing. Once you have registered for this profile and paid your fee, you are ready to learn to row! 

A coach will be in touch with you with more information, but here are a few things to know:
  • Your first session will be indoors at our PenBay YMCA erg gym, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Please plan to meet your coach at the front desk.
  • Following sessions will be on the water on Lake Megunticook, launching from our "boat forest" at Barrett's Cove. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of time to park and find your way to the docks.
  • If the weather makes it impossible to row, please plan to attend anyway -- your coach will be in touch with alternate venue information. 
  • If you love rowing, you can continue with us for the rest of the summer just by signing up for a Summer Novice membership for $50. You will also be eligible to participate in coached Novice Team sessions offered throughout the summer.
