Youth Rower
2026 Learn to Row - 6/22 to 6/26 - This is a one week introduction to the sport of rowing, open to rising 6th - 12th graders.
The session runs M-F from, 9a - 11a. You will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, commands, boat handling skills and depending on progress, row in both Sweep and Sculling boats. Snacks will be provided.
Financial assistance may be available, and applicants can wait to pay fees until they are notified of aid availability (no later than 1 month before the start of the program)
Registrants will also have documents to fill out, including a swim test and a one time, $10 membership to USRowing. More information is available here.

Junior Men's Team - Competitive team for experienced, male High School rowers between the ages of 13 - 18 years old. 8th graders may choose this program or the Middle School program, which is a smaller time commitment.

- Provide athletes with the knowledge and skills base necessary to be competitive at a regional and even national level
- Train the “whole athlete,” including pre-performance routines (nutrition, sleep, hydration, stretching, etc.), injury prevention, and accountability on and off the water
- Develop proper rowing technique
Junior Novice (1st time rower) - Competitive team for athletes of any gender who are new to rowing (defined as within your first calendar year of rowing). Racing opportunities will be in a novice category, against others who are new to the sport!
8th graders may choose this program or the Middle School program, which is a smaller time commitment.

Season is April 13, 2026 - June 1st, 2026 (8 weeks), 5:00-6:00, on Monday and Wednesday each week.
Athletes in 8th grade, who are looking to make a bigger commitment, are also eligible for the Junior Novice team.
If you are requesting financial aid, please submit your application and you may wait to pay your fees until you are notified about available aid (minimum of 2 weeks prior to start of season).
